Karen Fielder

Biography Karen Fielder received her B.F.A. at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts where she focused on photography and painting. For the last ten years, she has worked consistently to develop her imagery, and has exhibited her work in Boston, New York, Italy, and Austria. In 2003 and 2004, she was an artist-in-residence at an international art academy in the Dolomites of northern Italy. There she began to take a serious interest in landscape based themes, seeking to capture the energy of nature in her works. She does not define landscape narrowly, and includes explorations of manmade environments and their intersections with the natural world. Through experimentation with media, she has developed a signature style that has earned her many award honors internationally.
